Key Responsibilities: - Head of Quality Control Laboratory - Responsible in managing, supervising and executing all activities of QC lab and comply with QMS, BMS, ISO (19001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018) standards. - Budget right equipment and coordinates with different functions for smooth operations. - Coordinates with Research and Development in Middle East and Europe - Interrelates and Coordinates with all Laboratory Heads in Europe, Middle East and Africa - Supports manufacturing on formulation trouble shooting, process improvement and ensuring product meeting standard specifications.
Key Task: - Maintain formula and RM specification/Information in ERP as per e-Convention - Controls and approves the quality of all paint products and semi- Processed goods manufactured as per Hempel Laboratory Procedures to ensure that product specifications are met - Recommends necessary adjustment to production batches of finished goods and semi-processed goods that are short on or on borderline specifications. Ensures all specifications conforms to standard. Reduction in batch cycle time and cost of adjustment - Testing of in- coming raw materials - Claim Investigation & Report: Perform 5 Box Analysis for supply chain related complaints and Failed batches. - Recommends to the production tinter on his daily tasks for tinting activity in order to serve consistent standard colour matching and adjustments to meet departmental KPI performance. - Responsible for various cost saving initiatives in department such as reprocessing of expired/ semi-finished products, waste reduction, product improvements, colour delivery & complaints etc - Maintain records for approved production batches & incoming RMs as per QMS and e-convention standards - Performs Calibration of laboratory equipment. Takes initiatives to improve/upgrade laboratory equipment condition and follows periodical preventive maintenance - Prepares various monthly report related to lab & assists regional Lab Coordinator to investigate issues if any - Actively participates and provides inputs in daily/weekly/monthly meeting with peers, reporting staff and cross functional teams - Actively participates in 6S activities
